1. Introduction

Witvix ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Witvix System LLP, provides on-premise AI video analytics software and appliances. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit witvix.com or interact with us as a customer or prospect, and clarifies how video and camera data is handled differently because Witvix runs on your own infrastructure.

2. Two Categories of Data

(a) Website and business information — data you give us directly (contact forms, emails, support requests) or that our website collects automatically (usage analytics, cookies). (b) Video and camera data — footage, detections, and recordings produced by the Witvix software running on your own servers or appliances, processed and stored entirely within your own environment. Witvix does not collect, transmit, or have access to this data unless you explicitly grant remote support access.

3. Data Controller

For website and business information, Witvix acts as the data controller. For video and camera data processed by your on-premise deployment, you (the customer) are the data controller — you decide what is recorded, how long it is retained, and who can access it.

4. How We Collect and Use Website/Business Information

We collect information you provide through contact forms, email, or sales conversations (name, email, organization, deployment size, and message content), and standard website usage data (pages visited, browser type, referring site) via analytics tools. We use this to respond to inquiries, provide support, and improve our website and product.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic analytics and functionality. Placeholder: full cookie notice to be added if/when specific tracking tools are finalized.

6. Sharing Information with Third Parties

We may share website/business information with service providers who support our operations (e.g., email delivery, hosting, support ticketing). We do not sell personal information. We do not have access to your video/camera data to share in the first place.

7. Video/Camera Data — On-Premise Processing

Witvix software — including person detection, face recognition, and event recording — runs entirely on hardware you own or control. Face recognition libraries, recordings, and detection events are stored on your own infrastructure. Retention periods, access permissions (via role-based access control), and export decisions are set and controlled by you. Witvix has no default remote access to this data.

8. Data Subject Rights

For website/business information, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. For video/camera data processed by a Witvix deployment, requests should be directed to the organization operating that deployment, since Witvix does not control or store that data.

9. Data Retention

We retain website/business information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or maintain our business relationship, plus a reasonable record-keeping period. Video/camera data retention is entirely configured and controlled by the deployment owner.

10. Children's Data

Our website and products are intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
